Author Becky Allen Elliott will be at Kendall Young Library Thursday November 2 at 6:30pm. Becky Allen Elliott is a long time Webster City resident. Her book titled It’s a Great Day is about getting a pet iguana named Einstein who was purchased from Dyvig’s Pet Shoppe in Webster City, IA. Webster City Community Theatre opens its 51st season with a touching comedy by Sean Grennan.  Follow one "typical" American family over the course of 30 years' worth of holidays.  Mom and Dad celebrate Thanksgiving 1980, Christmas 1990, welcome in the year 2000, and Easter 2010 with their three grown children...a former high school football MVP, an aspiring actress, and a priest.

Shows on Friday and Saturday begin at 7:30 pm and Sunday matinees begin at 2:00 pm.

Tickets are $12.00 and are available by calling 515-297-0846, ordering online at wcctonline.org or wcctboxoffice@gmail.com, or stopping at the box office (weeknights 5-7 pm, 10 am to noon Saturdays, and one hour prior to show time.

Join us for a night hike to the Skillet Creek Indian Mounds as we walk through the leaves. Come and enjoy the sights, sounds, and smells of the night as we hike this moderately to difficult hiking path up the hillside. We will discuss the area history and observe the burial and ceremonial mounds on the hill top. This is a joint program provided by Hamilton and Webster County Conservation Boards.
 
This program is for all ages of people who enjoy hiking at night. Feel free to bring a flashlight as red covers will be provided. There are also a limited number of red covered flashlights provided to use. Register by email hccblaird@wmtel.net or call 515-832-9570.

Location: Skillet Creek is managed by the Webster County Conservation Board. To reach the area, follow Highway 175 west of Stratford about 4 miles. Just after crossing the bridge over the Des Moines River, turn right (north) onto River Road. Then turn onto Skillet Creek Road (left at the Y intersection. Just beyond the first curve will be a parking lot on the right. The area is signed from Highway 175 at the end of the bridge.
